The first game of the round sees the Manawatu Cyclones host Waikato at Central Energy Trust Arena in Palmerston North tonight with kickoff at 5.05pm. Manawatu come into the game as favourites after Waikato drubbing in week two at the hands of the Counties Power Heat. This game will be televised live on Sky Sports.
There are three games being played tomorrow with the Wellington Pride hosting the Auckland Storm at Jerry Collins Stadium in Porirua with a kickoff time of 12pm. The Pride are looking for their second straight win, while the Storm are coming off their loss to Counties Power Heat and are hurting. This game should be awesome to watch.
While up north the Counties Power Heat host Canterbury at Massey Park in Papakura with a kickoff time of 12pm also. Counties are looking for four from four while Canterbury go into this game knowing they are up against the powerhouse of womens rugby at the moment.
The second game to be broadcast on Sky Sports sees North Harbour Hibiscus up against the Hawkes Bay Tuis at QBE Stadium on the North Shore with a kickoff time of 12.05pm. With both teams looking for their first win of the season this looks like the game of the round.
The final game of the round is also airing live on Sky Sports when the Bay of Plenty Volcanix host the Tasman Makos at Tauranga Domain on Sunday 24th kicking off at 12.05pm. With Tasman coming off the bye weekend and the Volcanix at the top of the Championship table, a win for either team will keep their semi-finals hopes alive.
This weekend looks like an amazing time for womens rugby and I do hope you get to watch the games. If not, I will be live tweeting the televised games and also the home games for Canterbury (because I live in Christchurch).
